Pico de Gallo Salsa
by Remedios Aguirre Sullivan

For those of you that live in a place where pico de gallo salsa is served at every table, this might seem like too simple of a food to prepare, however for our readers outside the “salsa territory” an authentic recipe to prepare the delicious chunky salsa, is a real treasure.

The key to the best pico de gallo is simple: Keep it fresh.  No matter what kind of ingredients you use, if you like it spicy or mild, stay away from anything that comes out of a can, jar or bottle.

You can create your own variations of this Mexican side dish by adding the ingredients you enjoy eating.  Leave out the lime juice, add green peppers. Don’t like the spice? Use red bell peppers and give it a sweet twist.  Prefer an extreme flavor? Use habanero peppers.

Love and Loneliness
by Jay Bildstein

From our Archives/New Translation into Spanish

I was having a discussion with a friend of mine the other day concerning love, specifically romantic love between a man and a woman. There are a few prime areas of concern in life and romance is one of them. Health and wealth are certainly to be focused upon, but without love the human condition is less than complete.

Most men and women seek love. My friend, having had some not too positive experiences, was being a bit less than upbeat about the probability of meeting the gal of his dreams. It seems that in modern, western societies – and particularly in big cities – many people have become cynical about love.

Focusing On It
by Chris Yandek
Chris Yandek, from cyinterview.com

How do you do it? I have     been asked that question by many people younger, older, and in my age range. So who I am? Well, I am a 22-year-old media personality who has interviewed hundreds of famous people in entertainment, sports, and news. Through those close to eight years I have also made a name for myself.

This is my introduction here on Dia Day, but what is “it” really? I feel when they say “It” in the question they mean success, the unordinary, different. Then I respond with the answer that longevity and hard work help, but most importantly I just wanted it. I wanted to be somebody and I didn’t want to wait.
